Weather rarely cancels the tour - it changes the ride
A quad safari from Belek runs on river sections, forest trails and open off-road ground behind the resort strip, and none of that is weather-proofed. That is the honest starting point. A grey sky, a passing shower or ground that is still damp from the night before are all normal riding conditions here, and the guide simply reads them and adjusts the pace of the group to match.
What we will not do is talk anyone into riding through something we would not ride ourselves. If the trail is genuinely unsafe on the day, the tour moves to another date or it does not run at all, and because you reserved without paying, that decision costs you nothing. Riding in the rain: what a wet trail is really like
In most cases, yes, the tour runs. Rain is not automatically a stop signal; the real question is how much water is sitting on the ground and how the surface behaves under the tyres. A wet trail rides differently from a dry one. It is slicker through the corners, softer in the low sections, and it rewards smooth steady throttle rather than sudden bursts of speed. Reading that and setting the pace for everyone is exactly what the guide is there for, which is also why the safety briefing and the practice loop happen before anybody leaves the base.
There is an upside that people rarely expect. After rain the dust drops out of the air, the forest colours come back and you finish the ride far cleaner around the face and eyes than you would on a bone-dry track. Heavy rain that ruins visibility is a different conversation, and that is precisely the kind of condition that leads us to offer you another date instead of a wet fight with the trail.
- Light rain or a passing shower: the tour normally goes ahead, at a pace the guide sets.
- Wet ground after rain: often excellent riding, with far less dust than usual.
- Heavy rain, poor visibility or water running high in the crossings: we offer another date or a free cancellation.
- Your own judgement: if you would rather not ride in the wet, say so and the cancellation rules below apply.
Mud and dust: promised by nobody, decided by the day
Some guests arrive hoping to come home plastered in mud, and we understand the appeal completely, but we cannot promise it and any operator who does is guessing. Mud appears where the ground has been holding water, and whether it is there on your particular morning depends on what the ground has been doing for the past few days, not on what a website printed months earlier.
The same honesty applies in the other direction. Dust is part of this terrain and there will be dusty stretches on most days, which is why a helmet and a protective dust mask are included and why protective goggles are sold on site as an optional extra rather than handed out as standard. What we can promise is the route itself: shallow river crossings, forest tracks and open terrain, ridden at whatever level of grip the day happens to give us.
If we judge the conditions unsafe
That call is made by the people who actually ride the route, not by an app on a phone. If conditions on the day put the group at real risk, water running too high in the crossings, a surface that has stopped holding the machines, visibility that makes it impossible to keep everyone together, then we do not send you out and we say so plainly; our guide to how safe a quad safari really is sets out the briefing, the practice loop and the rules behind that call.
When that happens you get a straight choice with no penalty attached to either option. Because your reservation was free and no card was ever taken, cancelling leaves nothing to reverse: there is no refund to process, no invoice, no partial charge and nothing appearing on a statement three weeks after you fly home. That is the whole point of taking payment in euros on the day you ride.
- Move the same reservation to another date that suits you, with the price unchanged.
- Cancel outright, with nothing to pay and nothing to claim back.
- Ask us on WhatsApp which of the two makes more sense for the days you have left.
- Either way no money has moved, so there is no refund process to wait on.
If you decide not to ride: the 24-hour rule
You do not need our agreement to change your mind. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure, for any reason at all: a forecast you do not trust, a change of plan, a late night, a child who woke up tired. No explanation has to be given and nothing has to be paid, because there was never a payment to begin with.
Inside that 24-hour window a change becomes a request rather than a right, but please make it anyway. Tell us as early as you can and the seats go back into the day for someone else; we would far rather hear from you at short notice than send a vehicle to a hotel for guests who are not coming down. There is still no charge in that situation. We do not hold a card, so there is simply no mechanism by which a late cancellation could cost you money.
The forecast looks bad the night before
Message us on WhatsApp at +90 536 603 75 84. That really is the entire procedure. Tell us which hotel you are in and what you have booked, and we will tell you honestly how the ground and the plan look for the morning. That is not a forecast, because we are not going to pretend to be meteorologists, but it is a straight read from the people who will be on the trail with you.
From there the decision is yours: ride as planned, move to another date, or cancel. We would much rather have that conversation the evening before than have you standing in a hotel lobby wondering whether to get into the vehicle. If the situation is borderline, we are also happy to look again in the morning and message you rather than leave you guessing.
How to move your date, step by step
Moving a date is not a special favour and it does not require a reason. Because the reservation carries no payment, moving it is a change to a diary entry rather than a financial transaction, and it takes a couple of messages. The only thing worth watching is availability. The later you leave it, the fewer alternative days remain in your holiday, so a message the evening before is always better than a message from the lobby.
- Send a WhatsApp message with the name on the booking and the date you originally chose.
- Say what you would prefer: a new date, a decision in the morning, or a straight cancellation.
- We confirm the new date in the same chat, and the tour, the option you picked (Short Tour or Long Tour) and the price all carry over unchanged.
- If nothing left in your stay works, we cancel it and that is genuinely the end of it.
Dressing for a day that could go either way
The clothing advice barely changes with the weather, which makes packing simple: old or comfortable clothes you do not mind ruining, and proper closed shoes. Flip-flops and slippers are not suitable on either machine. Bring a change of clothes for afterwards, sunscreen and water, and a bandana if you are sensitive to dust. If the ground is wet you will get wetter and muddier rather than colder. This is an active ride, you generate plenty of heat holding a machine on a rough surface, and a light layer you can take off is more useful than a heavy jacket. A bag for dirty clothes on the way back to the hotel is more useful than either of them.
- Closed shoes always, wet ground or dry.
- A change of clothes waiting at the hotel, and a bag to carry the dirty ones.
- Sunscreen and water regardless of the sky.
- A bandana or scarf for the dusty stretches, plus the dust mask that is included.
Quad or buggy when the ground is wet?
Both machines take the same route and both are affected by the same conditions, but they feel different once the surface goes soft. On the quad safari you are out in the open and you steer with your body as much as your hands, so a slick corner registers immediately and that is a large part of the fun. The buggy safari sits you side by side in a two-seater, which some riders find steadier when the ground is loose, and it means a nervous partner can come along as a passenger instead of driving.
Neither one needs money up front to hold your place. Reserve the day you want, keep an eye on the sky if you must, and talk to us if it turns. The quad safari is EUR 30 per driver for the Short Tour and EUR 38 for the Long Tour, with a passenger riding along for half, EUR 15 and EUR 19. The buggy safari is EUR 35 and EUR 43 per driver, with the passenger at EUR 17.50 and EUR 21.50. Infants aged 0-3 join free, and you pay in euros on the day you actually ride.
