Who it is worth the money for
The thing you are buying is time at the wheel: one and a half to two hours of riding on the short tour, two and a half to three on the long one, inside a programme that runs about four to four and a half hours door to door. Everything else on this page is detail around that one sentence. If sitting behind a windscreen while somebody else drives sounds better to you, the quad safari is not the excursion that fits.
It also works for pairs in a way that is unusual, because we do not charge two full fares for one machine. One person drives and pays the driver price, the other rides along and pays exactly half — that half fare is the only reduction we have, it applies at any age, and a child in the passenger seat is a half fare rather than a free one. That is the same rule for both machines, and it is what makes a couple or a parent-and-teenager booking noticeably cheaper here than two separate tickets would be.
- You want to drive, not be driven — the test ride at the base is what decides who takes the wheel
- You have half a day free: about four to four and a half hours door to door, morning or afternoon session
- You do not mind dust, and you have clothes you are happy to get dirty
- You are 16 or over and want your own machine — sixteen and seventeen year olds drive their own
- Two of you, one machine: the passenger pays half, so a couple on the short quad tour pays €45 in total
- You are staying anywhere on our pickup list — the round-trip hotel transfer is included, with no surcharge
- You would rather not prepay: the reservation is free and no card details are taken online
Who should spend the money elsewhere
We would rather lose a booking than argue with somebody at the base who wanted a different day out. So here is the other half of the answer, written as plainly as the first.
Note the third line especially. Every machine needs a driver who has passed the test ride, so a party where nobody wants to drive cannot simply all ride along: without at least one driver at the wheel there is no booking to make.
- You want a relaxing scenic trip: this is a private off-road course, rough by design, and comfort is not what it sells
- You want guaranteed mud and deep water: the route has river sections, but mud depends on conditions and we do not promise it
- Nobody in your party wants to drive: a passenger seat only exists next to a driver who has passed the test ride
- You are pregnant, or you have back or neck problems: the tour is not recommended and rough ground is the reason
- You are expecting lunch and sightseeing stops: no meal is included, and drinks and snacks at the rest stop are paid for there
- You decide by star ratings: we have none — no rating, no review count, nothing to read before you book
What €30 actually buys
The single biggest item hidden inside that figure is the transfer. Round-trip hotel pickup and drop-off is included in the price from Belek and Kadriye, Boğazkent, Lara, Kundu, Antalya, Muratpaşa and Konyaaltı, and eastwards from Side, Manavgat, Evrenseki, Kumköy, Çolaklı, Gündoğdu and Kızılot — fifteen areas, no pickup surcharge on any of them. An excursion price that excludes the transfer is not the same number as ours, whatever it looks like at first glance.
Here is the full contents of the price, so you can weigh it yourself:
- An experienced guide and the safety briefing before anyone rides
- Round-trip hotel transfer from the fifteen areas above, included, no surcharge
- The machine itself with fuel — a quad (ATV) or a two-seater buggy
- A helmet
- Liability insurance for the activity
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure
What you may still spend at the base
Being straight about the extras is part of answering the value question honestly. Protective goggles are sold at the base as an optional extra and are not included — we do not publish an amount for them here, because the price is set there. Photo and video services cost extra. Drinks and snacks at the rest stop are paid for at the rest stop. Tips are yours to decide. If you want a quad to yourself rather than sharing it, there is a single-quad supplement, and again the amount is not published on this page — ask and we will tell you the current one.
What will not happen is a surprise at the end. Nothing is charged online, the total we confirm to you is the total you pay in euros on the day, and the transfer is already inside it rather than added to it.
Is the long tour worth €8 more?
This is the real money question on the page, and it has an arithmetic answer. The short quad tour is €30 for one and a half to two hours of riding, which is roughly €15 to €20 for each hour at the wheel. The long tour is €38 for two and a half to three hours, which works out at roughly €13 to €15 an hour. Per hour of actual riding, the long tour is the cheaper of the two. The buggy takes the same €8 step, from €35 to €43.
So the honest advice splits by what you already know about yourself. If you have ridden before, or you are fairly sure you will enjoy it, the long tour is better value and the extra €8 is the least expensive part of your day. If you genuinely do not know whether you will like an hour of dust and vibration, the short tour is the cheaper way to find out — and nobody at the base will tell you that you should have booked the other one. Both sit inside the same four to four and a half hour programme, because what you are paying the extra for is riding time, not a longer day away from the hotel. The full price breakdown, including the passenger fares, is on our prices page.
Half a day, not a whole one
Four to four and a half hours door to door covers the drive out, the briefing, the test ride, the riding itself and the journey back. Exact timings shift with your hotel location and the day's transfer schedule, which is why your own pickup time is confirmed to you after booking rather than guessed at here.
There are two sessions a day, a morning one and an afternoon one, and that is what makes the tour survivable inside a beach holiday: whichever you take, most of the day is still yours. Morning has you back for a late lunch. Afternoon leaves the beach and the pool alone until after lunch. If you want the day broken down stage by stage before you decide, that is a separate page.
What actually happens out there
The course is in the Aspendos countryside at the foot of the Taurus Mountains, and it is ours — a private off-road course rather than a public road. The route puts river sections, dusty forest tracks and open terrain in one place, which is precisely why it is sold as a driving experience and not as a tour of anything.
Two honest notes about the conditions. Dust is certain: you will come back dirty, which is why old clothes and closed shoes are the standing advice. Mud is not certain — the ground carries water some of the time and not others, so we say when conditions allow rather than promising splashes we cannot control. If a photograph of somebody soaked to the waist is the reason you are booking, that is the one expectation this page will not encourage.
Can you actually drive it?
For most people this, not the price, is what decides whether the tour is worth booking. No driving licence is required, and the reason travels with the claim: the route is a private off-road course, not a public road, so it is not judged like road driving. Drivers must be 16 or over and should carry ID, which is an age check and nothing else.
Every driver then takes a compulsory test ride at the base before the tour starts. It is a short supervised run and it is not a formality — passing it is what allows you to drive. Anyone who does not pass, or who takes one look and would rather not, rides along at half the driver price and stays with the group for the whole tour. That is the safety net that makes booking sensible even for beginners who have never driven anything like it: you are not committed to the wheel by paying.
Both machines seat two, one passenger per driver. On a quad the passenger sits behind; in a buggy the passenger sits beside the driver, which is the easier seat for a younger child. There is no age floor on that seat and no free ride either — everyone who comes along pays, at half the driver price, whatever their age. We do not recommend the tour for children under four, and the reason is physical rather than administrative: a small child can find it hard to hold on safely on a moving machine. If you are weighing up quad or buggy for a pair, we compare them properly on their own page. And if the question behind your question is really about safety, that has a page too.
Booking it without risking anything
Booking online creates a real reservation and costs nothing to hold: no card details are taken and no prepayment is charged, because you pay in euros on the day of the tour. It is not, however, an instant confirmation. Your booking arrives with us as pending, and a person then confirms your pickup arrangement with you — we would rather tell you your real time than have a machine issue you a fake one. The earliest date you can book online is tomorrow; if you are hoping to ride today, send us a WhatsApp message on +90 536 603 75 84 instead and we will tell you honestly whether there is a seat.
Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure, which is the practical part of the value answer: booking early does not commit your money, only your date. If the weather looks wrong or the family changes its mind, you have a day's notice to say so.
One last thing, because it belongs on a page called is it worth it. This site carries no reviews, no star rating, no award and no guest count, and it will not carry invented ones. What it does carry is every number you would need to check the value yourself: four prices, the half-price passenger rule, the riding times, the programme length, the fifteen transfer areas, the driving rule and its reason, and the list of what is and is not included. Weigh those, and ask us about anything the page leaves open. If you want a view on what separates a good operation from a bad one, we wrote how to choose as a separate guide.
